Who we are
Have you ever felt like there was so much out there and didn’t know how to focus on one thing? That is how m3g Studio started. In college, I loved my art classes but knew that as a single mom, I needed a job that would pay my bills. I took business classes and minored in computer science. My first job out of school was as a computer programmer. One hundred and sixty-three of us (about 20 women) were hired to get ready for the big year 2000 scare. While I had a great job, I often fantasized about doing something more creative. I got married and had 2 more daughters. I took different side jobs so I could stay home with my girls, but never felt truly fulfilled. I went back to school to become a certified pastry chef, and started teaching non-credit classes at our local community college. I realized how much I love teaching, but still missed my creative outlet. Fast forward about 15 years and I have honed my efforts to two of my favorite things – teaching and creating. I was introduced to quilted ornaments from a friend of mine. I had never seen ornaments quite like them and was instantly hooked. I found a way to channel my creativity while providing a unique service to others, all while being home with my girls. Hence the name (My 3 Girls Studio).
